dudleyCARTERSVILLE, GA – Three-time Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS remains on top of the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series point standings after Week 3 competition, and holds a one-point lead over Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, MS.  The Top 4 drivers in the point standings are separated by just three points.

Keeton finished fourth on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS driving the Lee Racing Trak-Star and has accumulated 145 points.  Arnold finished fourth on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA driving the Reynolds Motorsports/Billy Riels Racing GRT and has 144 points.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS is in the third spot of the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 143 points, just two points behind Keeton.  Scarbrough traveled to Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR on Friday night, where he finished third in the Villa South Trak-Star.

Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA is in the fourth spot of the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 142 points after a fifth-place finish on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway driving the Sparks Motorsports/J. Dunning Sandblasting and Paint Special.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS drove the Billy Riels Racing Trak-Star to a third-place finish on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway and holds down the fifth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 137 points.  Derrick Mackmer of Purvis, MS in the Mackmer Home Buyers Special and Noah Daspit of Kiln, MS in the Bert Sullivan Warrior are tied for the sixth spot with 132 points apiece.

Al Kouhout of Hattiesburg, MS in the Quick Lane Tune and Auto Center Special is eighth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 127 points.  Tommy Nichols of Meridian, MS is ninth in the standings with 124 points driving the Nichols Racing GRT.

A pair of drivers with two straight wins are tied for the tenth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 100 points.  Randy Boyd of Marion, MS took his second straight win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in the Coca-Cola Trak-Star, and Ricky Waggoner of Martin, TN drove the Taylormade Performance Special to his second straight win at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN.

Other NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 3 winners included Roger Witt of Batesville, AR, who took the win on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway driving The Chrome Shop GRT.  Joey Smith of West Plains, MO won the season opener on Saturday night at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO driving the Smith Racing Special.

The 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region Champion Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL was the winner on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL in the Elkins Racing Special.  Montana Dudley of Phenix City, AL drove the Zaxby’s Rocket to victory on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL.

Chris Holley of Highlands, TX won the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series season opener on Saturday night at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX driving the Holley Racing Special.  Owen Stockstill of Purvis, MS drove the Stockstill Trucking Trak-Star to the win on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway.

NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 3 victories by Boyd and Stockstill has increased the point lead of Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge point standings.  Trak-Star Race Cars now has five wins on the season.

Defending and four-time champion GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR is tied for the second spot in the Chassis Manufacturers point standings with Rocket Chassis of Shinnston, WV with two wins apiece.  Witt posted a win for GRT Race Cars, and Dudley picked up a win for Rocket Chassis.

Warrior Race Cars built by Goddard Performance of Knoxville, TN,  is fourth with one win.  Stinger Race Cars built by J.T. Kerr Racing Equipment of Rockford, TN, TNT Race Cars of Piney Flats, TN, and CVR Race Cars of Lenoir City, TN are also participating in the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge.
