Saturday night at the Putnam County Speedway in Satsuma , Florida and young Danny Sams III 24x   lead 19 and 3/4’s of the 20 lap feature before he and Sheldon Kinser Jr. got together after hitting a rut in turn four heading for the checkered giving Kinser the advantage at the finish line.
In post race interviews Sheldon was highly disappointed on the win outcome and after a team meeting at 3 a.m. back at the race shop it was decided to forfeit the win to Danny Sams.

“Danny led the entire distance and if it wouldn’t have been for a caution with one to go he would have won handily.” said Kinser
“After getting back home car owner J.J. , myself , A.J. and Angie discussed how we felt and this morning we called Liz and Phil with our request.”
“If I could have made the pass clean without touching him we would have kept the win.”
“We both ended up in the fourth turn rut at the same time and my 2JR. jumped to the right.”
“Danny and I are good friends and his talent is incredible as shown last night leading the entire distance.”
“It was a racing incident nothing intentional but we don’t want to win races that way on our team or this series.” said Kinser
“Danny Sams will receive first place points and first place money” said Phil Guadagano
The Bendinrules /Disaster Motorsports 2Jr. team called me this morning with their concerns and we will honor their request.”

14 micros signed in the pits and two heats were required for qualifying.
With Tony Sinquefield #00 winning heat one and Austin Craddock #17 winning heat two.
While Danny Sams and Kinser fought out front their was a torrid battle for the rest of the field with Austin Craddock, John Kahl #13 , John Craddock #6 , Russ Heider #86 and Tony Sinquefield .
John Craddock driving the # 6 Andy Detten micro after his #71 was scratched from competition was likely the fastest in the field as he worked his way all the way up to third from the back and was setting sights on Kinser when “fuel issues” ended his night.
From there it was a battle between Sams and Kinser for the win when the final caution setup a restart with a green / checker having Kinser dive into three to pull along side Sams when they tangled with Sams heading for the turn four wall he slowed enough to let Kinser gain the edge to the line.
The win makes Danny Sams a double winner this weekend in Micro / Mini Sprint racing as he won Friday night also.
