CARNESVILLE, GA – The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series South East Region and the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series will join forces for the first time this weekend to co-sanction a pair $4,000-to-win races with over $36,000 in prize money up for grabs this Friday night at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC and on Saturday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA.

The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will make its first-ever visit to Carolina Speedway this Friday night for a 40-lap $4,000-to-win, $400-to-start race. The ULTIMATE SE and Carolina Clash Caravan will then make its journey to Lavonia Speedway on Saturday night for a second 40-lap $4,000-to-win, $400-to-start event.

The complete payout for each race is as follows: 1. $4,000; 2. $2,000; 3. $1,350; 4. $1,000; 5. $875; 6. $775; 7. $700; 8. $600; 9. $500; 10. $450; 11. $425; 12. $400; 13. $400; 14. $400; 15. $400; 16. $400; 17. $400; 18. $400; 19. $400; 20. $400; 21. $400; 22. $400; 23. $400; 24. $400. M&W Transport will put up $200 each night for the “Haulin’ It” Fast Time Award.

The top ten drivers from the ULTIMATE SE Tour are Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA, Jason Welsham of Maryville, TN, Autolite/Fram/DirtOnDirt.com Rookie of the Year point leader Tyler Millwood of Cartersville, GA, three-time ULTIMATE Champion Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA, defending and two-time ULTIMATE Champion Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, SC, two-time 2017 ULTIMATE race winner Brandon Overton of Evans, GA, 2011 ULTIMATE Champion Chris Ferguson of Mt. Holly, NC, Brett Hamm of Newberry, SC, Michael Page of Douglasville, GA, and G.R. Smith of Statesville, NC.

Among the top ten drivers in the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series are Zack Mitchell, Johnny Pursley, Michael Brown, Anthony Sanders, Jeff Smith, Scott Shirey, David Yandle, and Ben Watkins. Dennis “Rambo” Franklin and G.R. Smith are also top ten drivers in the Carolina Clash point standings.

Drivers will earn points in both series at both events. Each race will utilize a Hoosier 1350 and 1600, or American Racer 48 and 56. Both series use a similar format for setting the field which will also be used at these two races. The only difference will be the starting field of 24 will allow for two point provisional starters for each series.

Otherwise, event rules will be governed by the respective lead series. The Carolina Speedway race on Friday night will be officiated by Carolina Clash Officials, and the Saturday night Lavonia Speedway race will be officiated by ULTIMATE SE Officials.

On Friday night at Carolina Speedway, the gates open at 5 p.m. with Pre-Race Registration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 7 p.m. with Hot Laps to follow and Racing is scheduled for 8 p.m.

On Saturday night at Lavonia Speedway, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. with Pre-Race Registration from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. with Hot Laps to follow and Racing is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
