These rules ar only valid for Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway 1999 FASCAR RULES - MINISTOCK DIVISION
NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS
l. CARS: American or Foreign. 1970 or newer. NO sports cars.
2. ENGINE; STOCK, STOCK LOCATION. No high performance engines 2550 CC LIMIT. Max .30 overbore. Stock stroke CC must be painted on hood, Driver's side. Engine must be same make & model as car. Front or rear wheel drive O.K.
A. CAM. Any cam or kit may be used.
B. EXHAUST. Opitional. Headers may be used.
C. CARBURETOR: Holley, part number 4412 STOCK with adapter. MAX. 1" THICK. May remove choke plate, change jets. NO modifications to intake. l carb. only.
D. PISTONS; Flat top pistons ONLY. *Pistons must cannot excede block deck height.* Toyota weight penalty applies.
E. RODS. Any stock rod allowed.
F. CRANKSHAFT. Stock Only - unmodified.
G. MANIFOLD. No fuel injected manifolds allowed.
H. CYLINDER HEADS. Stock ONLY; NO modifications. Stock valve size only- any length allowed.
NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS
3. MINIMUM WEIGHT; 1,900 lbs. ONE POUND PER CUBIC CENTIMETER. 2000CC Fords 2100 lb. minimum. 2000 Toyota 2300 lb. minimum.
A. ALL WEIGHT added to cars MUST be bolted in with minimum l/2" bolts with locking nuts, minimum 2 bolts/nuts per 50 lbs., minimum 5 lb. blocks and MUST be painted white with the car # painted or engraved on each block. NO WEIGHTS ALLOWED IN DRIVER'S COMPARTMENT. B. 55% Left side weight.
4. CLUTCH; STOCK - No aftermarket clutches.
5. FLYWHEEL - Optional. MUST BE STOCK DIAMETER. NO modifications.
6, SUSPENSION; STOCK. Right front can be changed to safety hub. McPherson strut equipped cars may have the upper strut mount replaced with slotted plate for camber adjustment.
A. FRAME. May be reinforced. Frame height 4" minimum. B. SHOCKS. Racing shocks allowed. C. SPRINGS. Any coil springs as long as installed in standard position. D. SWAY BAR. Front and rear. Optional. No lowering blocks. E. WEDGEBOLTS. Front and rear optional.
7. BODIES: Windshields must be LEXAN. Remove tail lights, rear seat, window mechanism, interior, etc. All metal paneling must remain in place. Doors must be welded shut. Body must be remain stock appearing, aluminum body parts are allowed. MUST be stock appearing. Fiberglass/aluminum hoods optional. *Air cleaner must remain under hood. For appearances, after market nose piece and rear bumpers are allowed. Must be approved by Tech Inspector.
A. FENDERWELLS; May be cut to allow use of larger tires. Material may be used to cover inner fender well. B. ROLL CAGE: Safe and well built. Minimum l l/2" tubing .095. C. TRUNK SPOILER. No wider than car. Must be approved by the Tecj Inspector. D. FIREWALL; Must remain unmodified and in stock location. E. FLOORPAN. Must remain unmodified and in stock location.
8. REAR END. Same as make of car but not necessarily same year. Any gear ratio. Must be located in stock position.
9. WHEELS/TIRES; 8" steel racing wheels ONLY. FASCAR stamped. Track approved tires only. Tires must "punch" 48 minimum on tire durometer - ALL 4 tires at all times.
l0. FUEL/FUEL CELL; Scatter shield. FUEL CELL. MANDATORY 22 gal. maximum with foam, must have check valve; 9" MINIMUM GROUND CLEARANCE and rear protection bar minimum l l/4" .095 bar, 2 straps minimum l" width surrounding the ENTIRE fuel cell. Fuel cells must be bolted NO RIVETS 8 NO SHEET METAL SCREWS. Location of fuel cells MUST be approved by Tech Inspector. PUMP FUEL - ONLY. NO ALCOHOL. NO ADDITIVES. Exhaust must exit outside of car.
11. BATTERY: Battery will NOT be located in the Driver's compartment. Battery and any electrical connections must be a minimum of l8" from fuel cell.
A battery disconnect switch is MANDATORY and must be easily accessible to the Safety Crew and Driver. "ON" AND "OFF" MUST BE LABELED CLEARLY TO BE SEEN BY THE SAFETY CREW FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR.
12. Radiator must have a catch can mounted in front of the engine fire wall. "Optional overflow on windshield" NO ANTIFREEZE
13. SAFETY: Please refer to General Rules. ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT MUST BE USED ANYTIME THE RACE CAR IS ON THE RACING SURFACE. * DOT APPROVED HELMET AND SAFETY APPROVED GOGGOLES OR FACE SHIELD. COMPLETE FIRE SUIT. GLOVES AND SHOES. TECH APPROVED WINDOW NET WITH OUTSIDE ACCESS RELEASE; WINDOW NET MUST COVER A MINIMUM OF 75% OF WINDOW OPENING. ALUMINUM DRIVER'S SEAT IS REQUIRED. SAFETY HARNESS - APPROVED/DATED: 3 YEAR OLD MAXIMUM, FIRE EXTINGUISHER
ON BOARD FIRE SYSTEM HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
