Night Seven Speedweeks 99 - New Smyrna Speedway

New Smyrna - Tonight was a new one for us, we actually got out of the track
before midnight.  But tomorrow night will be the real test, a l00
lap Late Model race.

In the Late Models tonight, we saw the #37 of Jason Schuler having the
pole but it was not meant to be his for long.  Jr. Hanley, in his #72, took
the lead early and kept the rest of the field behind him.  We also saw
Gary Balough, known by most, in the #8 car - a back-up car from B.J.
McLeod's team.  I think everyone was trying to dial in their cars for
tomorrow night's l00 lap race.  Top five were:

l.  #72 - Jr. Hanley
2.  #31x - Scott Frazer
3.  #99p - Steve Carlson
4.  #38 - Lee Faulk
5.  #8 - Gary Balough

In the Limited Late Models, the #10x of Brad Barkis had the pole.  But
it was not long before the #7 of Dan Delisle was leading the pack.  But in
the backstretch, there was a huge pile-up and several cars were lost for
the rest of the race.  Taking the lead from that accident was the #15 of
Jason Boyd, track champion at Volusia Speedway Park.  Once Jason
took the lead, no one could catch him.  Top five were:

l.  #15 - Jason Boyd
2.  #6lx - Richard Kelly
3.  #67 - Chad Allman
4.  #l0x - Brad Barkis
5.  #c4 (new car and could not find name)

In the 50 lap NASCAR Tour Type and SK Mods, it was the #00 of Ted
Christopher with the pole and winning from the pole.  The #99 of Jamie
Tamanio tried hard to catch the #00 but it was just not to be this night.
Top five were:

1. #00 - Ted Christopher
2.  #99 - Jamie Tamanio
3.  #26 - George Kent
4.  #98 - Doug French
5.  #32  Dave Bergman

In the last race of the night, Florida Modifieds, we saw the #99 of Guy
Hellyer
with the pole but Jerry Symons in the #66 had much different ideas.  Jerry
took the lead and kept it with the #00 of Ted Christopher close behind until
Ted slipped and went to the rear.  Top five were:

l.  #66 - Jerry Symons
2.  #7x - Steve Christman
3.  #7lb - Bart Corlieta
4.  #2x - Jimmy Wenks
5.  #31r - (new car - no name)

Join us for Night 7 and the l00 Lap Clyde Hart Memorial Late Model Race.
