Childrens Home Fund-raiser The 11th Annual Childrens Home Fund-raiser event will be held on Sunday May 30th. The event is to benefit the Central Florida Childrens Home near Orlando and the New Life Childrens Home near Lakeland .
Central Florida race car drivers raise sponsors and race on go-karts to help these kids. Planned activities include a mini-carnival, moonwalk, dunk tank and face painting as well as plenty of food & fun. Last year the charitable event raised nearly $6,000 , and this year’s goal is $10,000. That would put the total raised to help the childred to over $35,000 since the start of the charity. Drivers from Sunshine, Auburndale, Orlando and New Smyrna Speedways as well as Florida Pro, All Pro and other local series drivers will be on hand. The event will be Sunday May 30th from 10a.m. - 4p.m. at The Naskart Raceway 5071 West 192 in Kissimmee just east of
Disney. Take exit 25 off I-4 and go east about 31/2 miles. There will be raffles with money and tons of prizes up for grabs. The homes are for abused,abandoned and troubled kids and are non-government supported. If you need more info call 407-208-0077 daily or 407-282-4705 evenings.
