McCreary Wins 5th Annual $10,000 Enduro | Volusia Speedway Park closed it's racing season with a bumper to bumper, led swapping, cars 5 wide racing Enduro. The prize of $10,000 brought 47 of the best drivers to take the green flag but only 7 crossed the checkered. Ron McCreary of Sebastian, Florida took 1st, Don Guest of Powder Springs, Georgia was 2nd and Dan Benoit of Ft. Myers, Florida was 3rd. Billy Rodriquez took a wild ride flipping the car on lap 37 causing a caution as the demolished car had to be removed for the drivers safety. Arnold Hughes conquered a 360 spin only to take a hard hit in the rear by Robert Wray. Both cars were finished for the night. Kevin Durden looked like he had the win in the bag only to blow a transmission on lap 145. The Street Stocks ran a 25 lap feature with Paul Shead taking the lead after stalking the Point Champion of 2002, Joe Baker.
