Keith Butler Wins TBARA Race at Hialeah Speedway

By Marty Little

Hialeah, Fla - Keith Butler grabbed the lead on lap five
and sped to a dominant victory in the 25 lap TBARA sprint
car feature Saturday night at Hialeah Speedway.

Wendy Mathis paced the opening four laps on the flat
third-mile oval until Butler stormed past and quickly
opened a comfortable lead over the 17 car field. The
yellow waved on lap five as Shane Butler found the front
wall and his night was done. Keith Butler continued his
dominance until the red flag flew for a wild flip by
Murry Hall. Hall was uninjured but finished for the
evening. Butler ran to the checkers, his fourth win
this season, ahead of Bo Hartley, David Slawiak, Mathis
and Todd Schmidt.

The visiting Outlaw modified 25 lap feature went to
veteran Ted Hoverson with a good drive over Raymond
Jones, Randy Sands, Doug Hopper and young Cory Cullum.

Rookie Sean Bulaskas claimed the street stock victory as
he bested Ron Wilson and Jeff Roberts in the shortened
15 lap main.

David Russell was the best of the mini stocks as he
held off points leader Tommy Styer in the 25 lapper.
Eli Pollard crossed the stripe third ahead of Bill Calder
and Harold Cross.

Roger Bohannon came from deep in the 31 car field to win
the 25 lap cyclone feature. Timmy Ryan drove a great
race to claim runner-up honors over Zane Reid, Mike Blinco,
and Ken Rickert.
