Ryan Thomas Wins Florida Mini Sprint Race at Thundercross | The Florida Mini Sprints had an exciting race weekend at both Thundercross Motorsports Complex and Volusia Speedway Park.
Saturday night at Thundercross started out the first heat race with #6 MZike Schroeder racing side-by-side with the #71 John Craddock. The race would end with #71 John Craddock taking the checkered flag. Mike Schroeder would finish 2nd and #86 Russ Heider would round out the top three.
The second heat race was dominated by the #19 Ryan Thomas with team mate #1 Harold Matthews finishing 2nd and #7 Jesse Teed finishing 3rd.
Saturday night feature event started with the #44 Russ Clarity and #4 Bud Schreiber starting on the pole. The #19 Ryan Thomas would take the led early with Mike Schroeder running 2nd and #71 John Craddock in 3rd. The race would run in this order for a few laps til the #7 Jesse Teed would blow a motor going into turn 2. During the restart the #86 would connect the outside wall and come to a stop on the front stretch. The race would restart with #19 Ryan Thomas leading and #6 Mike Schroeder in second until the #6 spun out coming out of turn 2 and the #44 Russ Clarity hit the back of the #6 with the right side of the #44. Both cars would be rough to the infield with too much damage to finish. Ryan Thomas would restart the race with John Craddock trying a lst turn inside move but was unable to make the move and Ryan Thomas would win the race with #71 2nd, #33 - 3rd, #21m - 4th, #55 - 5th.
