Bentley Big Winner in Street Stock Action at Hialeah Speedway | by Marty Little
Hialeah, Fla - John Bentley sped to his second 25 lap street stock feature win of the season Saturday night at Hialeah Speedway.
Starting on the front row, Bentley zipped into the lead at the outset then held off the challenges of point leader T.C. McElyea to the checkers. Fred Schenk claimed third money ahead of Ron Wilson and Frank Kelliher.
Bruce Moerlins was declared the winner of the cyclone 25 lap main after apparent victor Mike Crehan could not get his mount through post-race inspection. Harvey Freeman, Bob Regula, Mike Powers, and Gabe Hernandez completed the top five finishers.
A new face graced victory lane following the 15 lap mini stock headliner as newcomer Eli Pollard drove his Mustang to the win ahead of Bill Calder and Tommy Styer.
Brian Paradis topped the visiting Modified Lites with a great driver over Mark Landis and George Landis in the 25 lapper while the Pro Challenge main fell to Mark David ahead of William Bates and Mike Laco.
