Greg Kaouk Wins Late Model Sportsman at Hialeah Speedway | by Marty Little
Hialeah, Fla - Greg Kaouk jumped into the lead at the outset and sped to his first late model sportsman 20 lap feature of the season Saturday night at Hialeah Speedway.
Danny Maddox pressured Kaouk in the late laps but settled for second over Gary McGoron and Steve Weaver, Jr.
Street Stock point leader T.C. McElyea padded his margin with a narrow victory over Steve Dielmann in the 25 lap run. Ron Wilson, Ross Padula and Jeff Roberts completed the top five finishers.
Mini Stock kingpin Tommy Styer claimed feature win number 12 with an easy drive over Bill Calder, Harold Cross and Eli Pollard.
In the big feature of the night, Bruce Moerlins led all 50 laps to wint he Roy Hartley Memorial. Roger Bohannon was all over Moerlins the final 15 laps but settled for runner-up honors over Harvey Freeman, Tony Barreca and Rick Lenhardt.
Sean Bulaskas notched his third pure stock win of the season ahead of Frank Kelliher and Chris Stockton while Caesar Bacarella was the best of the Super Mini Cup runner over Mike Harrison and Peter Lloyd.
