| New Smyrna Race Results for 8/10/02 | On the pole for the Super Stock feature race was the
#91 of Allan Dillon. But before the first lap was
down in the books, there was a pile-up on the front
stretch. One car was on top of another car, the #61
Ted Helms and #39 on top of the #61 but no one was
hurt. The race was restarted with Ron Whaley #2
leading the way to the checkered flag. Following
Whaley was the #21, #91 Allan Dillon, #66 Dean
McGlothin and #38 Randy Jones.
The #65 was on the pole for the Strictly Stocks
feature race but it was the #65s who swapped the
lead several times with the #63 to finally take
home the win. Following the #65x James Smith, Sr.,
was #63 Curtis Smith, #66 Tim Edmundson, #0 Michael
Seay, and #27 Barry Parks.
