John Bentley Claims Street Stock Win at Hialeah | by Marty Little Hialeah, Fla. - John Bentley held off the challenges of Steve Dielmann to claim his initial street stock win in Saturday night's 25 lap feature at Hialeah Speedway.
Bentley lead from the pole but once Dielmann caught him it was no cake walk and they battled to the checkers. Point leader T.C. McElyea checkered third over Bubba Martone and Ron Wilson.
Mustang mounted Bill Calder notched his second mini stock win of the year with a good drive in the 20 lap min. Eli Pollard and Tommy Styer gave chase but settled for second and third respectively with Harold Cross and Larry Johnson rounding out the top five.
In the best race of the evening George Morales fought off the steady challenges of Bruce Moerlins to claim the 25 lap cyclone feature. Harvey Freeman, Bob Regula and Bruce Bloomfield were next to the stripe.
Pure stock action saw Sean Bulaskas score an easy win in the 20 lap main. Frank Kelliher, Wesley Horne, Ray Moreno and Osmel Diaz chased the leaders home.
