| Gary McGoron wins LMS/Street Stock Feature at Hialeah Speedway | Hialeah, Fla. - Late model sportsman point leader Gary
McGoron padded his total Saturday night with an easy
victory in the combined LMS/street stock 25 lap feature
at Hialeah Speedway.
Will Maclure lead early in a street stock but it only
took McGoron three laps to chase him down and run to his
second victory of the season. Stuart Robertson chased
McGoron to the checkers over Maclure, Tony Wilson and
Greg Gorniak.
Eddie Lowery notched his first mini stock victory of the
season with a great drive over Bill Calder in the 25
lapper. Point leader Tommy Styer had a tough night but
recovered for a strong third place finish ahead of
Richard Thomas and Kenny Strong.
Pure Stock action found Frank Kelliher the dominator
in the 25 lapper as he sped to his second victory of the
season. Roger Bohannon gave chase to claim runner-up
money over John Bentley, Gorniak, and Roger Pfau.
Mike Harrison topped the visiting Super Mini Cup headliner
in front of Carlos Gonzales and Wayne Garhardt while
Victor Leo easily bested Bentley and George Morales
in the 25 lap figure 8 feature.
