| AMA PRO Motorcycle Races at Volusia Speedway Park | The AMA PRO Flat Track series were in town tonight and
the weather held out just long enough to get the whole
show in. The 505 Pro Sport, the entry level division, had
a bike count of 32 after heats were run. Only 12 made the
show with #54j Cory M. McDermitt, Breckenridge, MI taking
the checker. The 505 Expert division, a rider must have
made a certain amount of points and raced at least a year
to move up to this division. It was #10 Dan Stanley,
Bellingham, WA taking the win in the 505 Expert division.
The 883 HDSP had the lowest count with only 9 riders,
#78n Merle W. Scherb, Decatur, TX was the first Harley
at the finish line and champion #1 Chris Carr, Fleetwood,
PA-HD was the winner tonight in the 750/1000 division.
