FASTRUCKS at Columbia

LAKE CITY, Fla. - Veterans Paul Grynewicz and Danny Glover battled door to door for the final 10 circuits to finish in that same order in the 50 lap Fastruck feature Saturday night at Columbia Motorsports Park.

With rain a threat, the 18 truck field took to the fast half-mile oval and after others paced early, Grynewicz and Glover found themselves at the front of the field. The duo swapped the top spot several times but when the checkers flew it was Grynewicz in command. Glover claimed second over Jeff Firestine, Larry Moyer and Kim Schleffler-Hays.

New York transplant Greg Slone proved the best of the open wheel Florida modifieds, taking his mount to the checkers ahead of Greg Nordstrom in the 20 lap headliner. Mike Bennett, Wayne Parker and Shawn Taylor completed the top five.

Nasty Nick Reid was the best of the best in the 20 lap street stock run, as he led every lap for the win. Jeff Prescott claimed second money over Charles Seroki, Brad Fiene and John Mitchell.

The late model stock and pure stock events were lost to rain and will be made up this week in addition to the regularly scheduled events in all four divisions.
