Howard Makes it Three Straight At East Bay

It was southern thunder at the old clay track this past Saturday with Bill Howard making it three in a row. Howard kept the lead while the usual hard racing was going on behind him. As a full field of Late Models put on there great show with David Schmauss, David Simpson, and Donnie Tanner in tow during there feature.

With a small car count in the Sprints it wasn't without consequences as Mike Tharp took a wild flip in his heat race. Once again Greg Leonard blew away everyone in his class with some new faces making there first top finishes in Danny Curry in the Beef O'Brady's very nice looking ride and Casey Johnson in the in his #31 sprinter with another fine finish. Brady Alvis the only "Old Guy" in the top four finished second. Look for Bubba's return next week in the 98 Rock along with Kenny Adams, Red Stauffer and Robbie Smith. The Mini Stocks again had a tight race with Scotty Williams in the Buddy's Home Furnishings and Devon Dixon in the BC Family car show just how close these cars are in this class.

Raymond Rodgers found Victory Circle in the Street Stocks, and as always Raymond had something to say in thanking everyone who helps him with his racing operation. Terry Bronson finished in the second position with Cam Canova in the third spot. With more than thirty cars trying to make the feature event. Every lap of every race is a main event due to the car count.

The Limited Late Models again with a full field of cars with a couple of guy's who have been racing together a long time together were back at it again in Danny Bowman and Rodger Crouse with Crouse winning this battle. With the two of them swapping the lead on the restarts, along with the mind games going on. Paul Davis was setting in the cat birds seat waiting and watching looking for something to happen between the top two and hoping to nail his first feature win, but it never happened. Rumor has it that Bobby Alexander will be in the #6 Limited Late Model next week replacing Phillp Cobb.

The Limited Sprints were out to put the petal to metal and go for broke as Timmy George leading the way. George in his long time sponsor Venice Wrecker Service #1 was hungry for that top prize money and got it! Andy Kelly finished in the second and Darrin Miller third.
