Orlando Speedworld Sees Mike Peppler back in the Winner's Circle | As Orlando SpeedWorld celebrated its third run of the new 2000 season, Kelly Jarrett and Doug Samion had plenty to celebrate. These two drivers have won all three races of the new year in the Mini-Stock division and Sportsman division. Kelly Jarrett drives the #97 Mini-Stock and Doug Samion wheels the #04 Sportsman.
In the Super Late Model race, we saw Justin Drawdy, driver of the #l2x Super Late, hit hard in the wall and pretty much destroyed his car. It took a few minutes to get Justin out of the car and he did walk to the ambulance but a hit that hard, had to ring his bell. Hope you are okay Justin and we see you back at the track soon.
We did have a new super stock tonight, the #06 of Rob Ayers. Rob is sponsored by All Auto Salvage out of Titusville. The #67 Super Stock also is sponsored by All Auto Salvage with Bill Loomis driving it tonight but the car is owned by Darren Gould. Rob did a very good job tonight in his new Super Stock considering this was his first attempt ever at racing this car and this track. We also saw Ricky Wood driving the #97 Late Model of Bill Hoover, Jr. tonight. Ricky built this car and obviously knows how to make it work.
Heat winners tonight were: Frank Polly in Heat l of the Modifieds, Jason Boyd in Heat 2 of the Modifieds; Tommy Johnson in the Sportsman division; Ronnie Roach in Super Late Model; Kelly Jarrett in the Mini-Stock division; Kenny Crities in the Late Model division; and DeWayne Freed in Heat l of the Super Stocks and Carl Peters in Heat 2 of the Super Stocks.
In the feature race for the modifieds tonight, it was just a Jason Boyd night. He did a very good job of driving the #2x to Winner's Circle. Gary English and Frank Polly both tried their best to take first away from Jason, but could not do it. Top five were:
1. #2x - Jason Boyd 2. #66 - Gary English 3. #34 - Frank Polly 4. #57 - Larry Flynn 5. #51 - Randy Lawton
Kenny Wilson had the pole for the Sportsman division feature race but it was the blue #04 of Doug Samion leading the way to Victory Circle for the third straight week for Samion. Russ Shaw gave it a good try but could not hold off Doug and took second. Top five were:
1. #04 - Doug Samion 2. #11 - Russ Shaw 3. #82 - Tommy Johnson 4. #28 - David Myer 5. #84 - Kenny Wilson
In our Super Late Model division, it was the #30 of Chuck Burkhalter dueling to the end with the #14 of Ronnie Roach for the win. Travis Kittleson was close behind but it was the #30 seeing his way to Winner's Circle tonight.
Top five were:

In the Mini-Stock division it was a battle once again between the #97 of Kelly Jarrett and the #25 of Tim Clark. If you are interested in Mini-Stock racing, the Clark team - father and son - have all 4 of their mini-stocks up for sale. Top five were:
1. #97- Kelly Jarrett 2. #25 - Tim Clark 3. #6 - Jamie Dixson 4. #30 - Carl Green 5. #98 - Mike McTrishon
The Late Model division saw Scott Bramlett, driver of the #12 Southern Pro Truck, in the driver's seat of the #26 of Mike Murphy. Also, Ricky Wood was in the #97 of Billy Hoover, Jr. Both did great jobs in these cars. Scott and Mike will be entering a 50 lap race tonight at DeSoto Speedway and Scott wanted to shake the car out at Orlando and proceeded to win the feature last night. Also, Chad Pierce gave fans their first look at his new Late Model. Beautiful car and Chad did a great job keeping it looking that way. Top five tonight were:
1. #26 - Scott Bramlett 2. #97 - Ricky Wood\ 3. #22 - Larry Osteen 4. #32 - Tim Laurent 5. #l - Kenny Crites
In the Super Stock divison, it was the night for the #8l of Mike Peppler. Mike was due for a win and got it last night. Duane Freed in the #11 really wanted that win but Mike was able to out drive him this time. Top five were:
1. #8l - Mike Peppler 2. #11 - Duane Freed 3. #1 - Carl Peters 4. #67 - Bomber Bill Loomis 5. #7x - Bob Wines
