He started hot right out of the box in 2007, picking up four wins in the first half of the season and was dominant in the TBARA points race throughout the year.
DeCaire said, "We led a lap every race there in the first eight races, and I was in a very comfortable situation with our race car."
DeCaire's car owner put Troy in a new car half-way thought the season. "I was so happy with the other car and so comfortable", he said, "but the new car was far more superior as far as up to date equipment, a better engine and stuff like that."
The #68 sprint car owned by George Rudolph, Jr. worked even good enough to secure the championship for DeCaire, "Fortunately we went right back to winning, because that is the type of car owner George is."
DeCaire joins a pretty elite group of sprint car racers who have won Florida's most popular traveling series. "The sprint car guys have always been my heroes, I grew up in a late model family and I love the the late models, but my biggest hero growing up was Sam Rodriquez, DeCaire said. "He's kind of been like an uncle to me. He definitely took me under his wing, and he and my dad being really close friends. To be in that group I mean those guys are racing gods to me."

Troy added to his impressive winning record in racing, since starting as a four year old in go-karts, winning the championship by 130 points over former champion Dude Teate.
We counted 5 wins, another 11 top five finishes and only out of the top 10 three times in 24 outings. The last person to repeat in the series was Dude Teate, and DeCaire indicated he will give it a shot in 2008. But for now he seems quite happy with this major accomplishment in his young career.
"I'd like to come back next year and hopefully I could repeat the deal, but if I never do it again I am glad I got this opportunity for what I call, a dream season."
