Samsula, Fla. (September 24, 2007) There will be plenty of action September 28 and 29 for the FASCAR Tours as the Exreme Modified and Quick Kids run on Friday night at Orlando SpeedWorld followed by the rescheduled Clyde Hart Memorial Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Model 125 and Southern Sportsman 50 on Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway.
Going into Friday night's Extreme Modified 50, it is Robbie Cooper leading the points for this fast moving modified tour. Cooper, who recently won the title of 2007 Gulf Coast Modified Champion, has proven to be quite the modified driver in 2007.
Right behind Cooper is Clermont's Alan McClelland who always loves the high banks of SpeedWorld. Rounding out the top ten in points for the Extreme Modified Tour is Jason Garver, 2005 and 2006 Columbia Motorsports Park Modified Champion, Jerry Symons, Chris Escott, Lee Collins, Jimmy Wagner, Kurt Jett, Dustin Beckelheimer, and Danny Partelo.
Along with the Exteme Modified 50 will be the Quick Kids 25 with Randy Anderson leading the points for the younger FASCAR Tour. These kids are determined and learning each and every race. They are all stars shining in the future and have had a lot of fun this year racing.
Following Anderson in the points is Austin Stamper, Jason Pyros, Tyler Laing, Donnie Gray Jr., Matt Cohen, Colby Clements, Thomas Warnick, Barry Bartlett, who has moved to the Pro division, and Harley Zimmerman.
Qualifying for the Extreme Modified 50 and Quick Kids 25 will start at 7 pm Friday night at SpeedWorld with racing action at 8 pm.
On Saturday, September 29, it is the rescheduled Clyde Hart Memorial Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Model 125 and Southern Sportsman 50 at New Smyrna Speedway. The "best of the best" Super Late Models will be on hand to honor the founder of FASCAR, Clyde Hart.
Once a year New Smyrna Speedway brings down the ole green truck, parked next to the flag at New Smyrna Speedway, from it's perched view of the speedway to honor Clyde Hart. Clyde was one of racing's biggest fans and will definitely being watching from above over the race.
Leading the points for the Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Model Series is Tim Russell who has had a great year in the series. Russell recently won the Florida State Late Model Championship and the Triple Crown. Can he win the Clyde Hart Memorial, be there to see!!!!
Completing the top ten in points for the Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Model Series is Brian Finney, Chad Pierce, Jeff Scofield, Corey Freed, Blake Lehr, Kurt Jett, Travis Cope, David Rogers and Dusty Cornelius.
Running with the Clyde Hart Memorial will be the Southern Sportsman 50 where Richard Elkiins, Jr. leads the point for this fast moving Sportsman Series. Following Elkins is Joey Catterrli, Ron Heard, Jr., Steve Gainey, Mark Peterson, Authur Conquest, Craig Cuzzone, Bart Weatherford, and Roger Welch. These Sportsman drivers come from all corners of the state and always put on a great show for the fans.
Qualifying for the Clyde Hart Memorial Sunoco Sunbelt 125 and Southern Sportsman 50 will begin at 6 pm with racing action at 7:30 pm.
