Both Anderson and Russell have won a leg of the Triple Crown with Russell also winning the Florida State Late Model Championship in the second leg.
Saturday's event will also showcase some of the best Late Model drivers in the state with Doug Moff, Rich Clouser, Darren Brown, Chuck Burkhalter, A.J. Curreli, Greg Kaouk, and Joe Winchell just to name a few. These drivers come from all over the state and have one goal in mind, to win at USA International.
Leading the points for the Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series is Doug Moff who has had a stellar year. But not far behind Moff is the 2005 and 2006 Goodyear Challenge Late Model Champion Rich Clouser. Clouser, who teamed with car owner Bobby Sears in 2004, has proven that he can drive anything from a Super Stock to a Late Model.
Third in points for the Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series is Joe Winchell, well known throughout the state of Florida for his driving skills. Fourth in points is Darren Brown who also leads the Rookie points for the Goodyear Series. Brown was the 2006 Late Model Champion at New Smyrna Speedway. Completing the top ten are Justin Larson, Rookie Drew Brannon, Greg Kaouk, Daniel Keene, Jr., Chuck Burkhalter, and another Rookie JR McMickel.
