Samsula, Fla. (August 14. 2007) After having a month off, the Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series moves to New Smyrna Speedway this Saturday night. It will be a full night of racing action for the fans with the Sportsman, Super Stock, Mini Stock, and Strictly Stocks also on the program.
Last Saturday, August 11, saw a seventeen car field of Late Models at New Smyrna with a number of the Goodyear Challenge Late Model drivers in the mix to test and fine tune their machines for this Saturday. The winner was Rich Clouser of Palm Bay who currently runs second in points in the Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series.
The last time the Goodyear Challenge Series saw racing action was July 20th at Ocala Speedway which was the very first time for the series to run there. It was a challenge for most of the drivers since few were familiar with the dog-eared track but it was Rich Clouser who came out on top followed by Joe Winchell, Darren Brown, Drew Brannon and points leader Doug Moff.

"We are definitely looking forward to this Saturday night and racing at our home track."
But also in the field this Saturday night will be the 2006 Late Model Champion at New Smyrna Speedway, Darren Brown. Brown currently runs fourth in points and it the top leading Rookie for the series and definitely knows his way around New Smyrna Speedway.
