The New FAST Mini Cup Series has brought the miniature stock car racing scene to a whole new level, racing at speeds of 100 mph plus at some of the fastest and best short tracks across Florida such as Charlotte County Motor Sports Park, Auburndale Speedway and Ocala Speedway.
The Fast Mini Cups Series can sure put on a show, like this past Saturday night at Auburndale Speedway. The Fast stars stepped it up once again.
Cindarae Irish showed what she`s got! This 12 year old from Clearwater Fla. is not only a honor student. She also has a passion for racing. She started on the front row with her #05 Checkers Monte Carlo and the always exciting 10 year old Daniel Miller #00 Big R chevy.
Outside Turn 4 the green flag dropped and Cindarae took her #05 Fast Mini cup into turn 1 & Daniel #00 tucked behind making Cindarae feel the heat. But she drove her #05 for 19 laps holding Daniel #00 off.
Then with the white flag waving, Daniel Miller gave it his last charge and drove it in turn 3 deep and made it stick. Cindarae pushed up and the drag race was on to the checkered flag. The result was a perfect photo finish with Daniel Miller #00 edging out Cindarae Irish by a bumper, an awesome finish for the Auburndale Speedway fans.
Arron Irish driving the #08 Checkers Monte Carlo made the podium, finishing a strong 3rd.
The Fast Mini Cup Pro division was not going to be denied a piece of that action on this night. The packed house at Auburndale Speedway had no idea what they were in for. Where do we watch? The fierce battle for the lead, or the battle for 3rd & 4th. How about the little war going on further back for the 5th & 6th spots.
Jerry Parker #6 from Lake Worth Fla driving his Make A Wish Fusion beat the #98 Derek Morey into turn 1 pulling James Irish's #13 Checkers Monte Carlo into 2nd and after a few laps all cars settled in with Zack Hoyt #67 running 3rd.
What a pace Parker and Irish were setting. Meanwhile Frank Pfister of Seffner Fla, was wheeling his #2 Miller Genuine Draft Mini cup past Zack`s #67 for 3rd on lap 12.
With the laps counting down Parker and Irish closing up on lapped traffic, Derek #98 got loose and pushed up into the fast grove. Parker and James had no place to go and the big wreck happened fast, bringing out the red flag. All the drivers were ok.
On the restart Frank Pfister #2 found himself on the point, and was able to bring it home for the feature win. Zack Hoyt #67 managed 2nd, and Joel Ashton #25 in his first start ever took 3rd.
The club has drivers from 8 years old to 60 and invite racers to join the fun and action. Purses and contingency prizes are awarded to both classes at all races. The series has over 50 sponsors and contingency supporters that the Fast Mini Cup Series.
