Samsula, Fla - Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Volusia County announced the fourth annual Race for Kids Sake is set for January 7, 2003, at New Smyrna Speedway.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters is a non-profit community service organization dedicated to providing adult friendships to children who need positive role models and mentors. Big Brothers/Big Sisters helps single parent children by giving them emotional support and guidance to become mature and responsible adults.
NASCAR drivers Mark Martin, Kurt Busch, 2002 Busch Grand National Champion Greg Biffle, Kyle Petty, Johnny Benson, John Andretti, Jerry Nadeau, Dave Blaney and Mike Skinner along with possibly Steve Park, Ken Schrader, and Jeff Burton will join in the night's festivities in a 15 lap race in Late Models and an autograph session on the grandstand side of New Smyrna Speedway.
Also on the program that night will be Strictly Stocks, Super Stocks and Sportsman. Since all monies raised will go to the children, there will be no purses but drivers and one crew member will get in free that night.
Fifteen dollar pre-sale tickets are available at Volusia County Sun Trust Banks, Regent Banks, and Daytona National Auto Mall. Tickets at the gate will be $20.00 with children 12 and under free. The night's activities will start at 7 p.m.
