Charlotte County Sports and Recreation Puts Operation on Hold | Charlotte County Sports and Recreation today announced they would place their speedway operations in a "temporary inactive status" until the courts sort out the legal issues surrounding the speedway.
"Unfortunately the dispute has gotten to the point where it negatively affects the business operation..." Chris Felden said in a statement to employees.
The statement went on to say Charlotte County Sports and Recreation will seek a more permanent solution to the legal problems with Glen Vanhorn and Leroy Davidson.
"While this is more time consuming, we are confident that it will be resolved expeditiously and result in a much better speedway for the fans, drivers and employees", Felden said.
The statement placed the employees on inactive status Felden also thanked the employees for their hard work and loyalty.
This gives the green light to Leroy Davidson to operate the speedway unimpeded while the issues are dealt with in the courts.
The speedway is scheduled to run a full slate of races this Saturday.
